At NGAM we teach the art of American Kenpo considered by many to be the original Mixed Martial Art. This is a common misconception as Kenpo is a combative art and not a sport. Kenpo does combine all the aspects of MMA as far as it is one of the few arts that combines all phases of fighting into one unique art. In the 1950s Edmund K. Parker saw the need to combine the arts and break free of traditional Martial Arts.
